Our most common length of stay is Sunday to Saturday. You’ll take the 4:30pm flight, Sunday, from Anchorage to Iliamna. We’ll meet you at the airport, load your gear into our van and take a short drive to our sea planes. After the planes are loaded, we’ll skim across the lake and climb into the magnificent Alaskan air for our short flight to The Outpost. If you’ve never flown in a sea plane, this will be as exciting and memorable as any other moment of your stay with us.
When we pull up to the dock, you’ll be met by our amazing guides. We’ll drop your gear in your rooms and acquaint you with some of our very basic rules – don’t feed the bears. Your first evening will be spent relaxing, getting to know your guides and preparing for an amazing week of fishing. You’ll enjoy dinner, a few drinks and lots of laughs while taking in some of the most beautiful views anywhere in the world.
Every morning starts with breakfast at 7:00am. You’re in a boat or plane by 8:00am and off to your first location. Lunch will be served around 12:00 on the water. And you’ll return to the lodge by 5:00pm for Happy Hour. Dinner starts at 6:00pm. The rest of the night is yours to enjoy drinks, the wood-burning wet sauna, watch the amazing sunsets and tell the best fish stories of your entire life.
For most packages, Saturday is the last day of your experience. We’ll fish through mid-day and then fly back to Iliamna Saturday afternoon for your return flights back to Anchorage. Although this will be the end of your stay, by no means is this good-bye. The Outpost at Intricate Bay never leaves you.

Shorter Stays Available
If you need to book a trip for a shorter stay, please email or call for details. We’re happy to work with you on a prorated rate to customize a length of stay that work for your schedule.
Gear
We welcome you to bring your own personal fishing gear. However, we do have quality rods, reels, flies, waders and boots available on site at no additional cost to you. All you really need to bring is a good rain jacket and clothes for the week.
Beverages
Guests are required to provide their own beer, wine and liquor as Iliamna is a “Dry” village. Ask us how we can assist you in purchasing and shipping your alcohol before you arrive.
Deposits and Payment Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm and hold space. We will provisionally hold space for 14 days from the date of booking until deposits are received. Thereafter, we reserve the right to cancel bookings that are not confirmed by deposit. Deposits and other payments are not refundable after January 1st. Guests may transfer deposits or other payments to another person using the same space of the fishing week booked. A final payment of 50% is due 60 days prior to your arrival at our fishing lodge in Alaska. We highly recommend trip cancellation insurance.
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless client replacements are found. There is no refund for any unused portion of the land package. Itineraries are based on current airline schedules that are subject to change and could result in an adjustment to final cost.
